Comments:

The annual CHIC ski trip was mainly organized by Alan this year but unfortuantely he was unable to attend the actual event. His excellent planning made for a smooth trip and some very good times.

The bus was late arriving to Hakuba 47 on Saturday so we didn't get skiing until about 1:30 p.m. At the end of the day an unfortunate incident occurred as Jorge, who was on his first CHIC excursion and first time snowboarding, broke his ankle. It was at the end of the day and happened while walking to the parking lot. He remained in good spirits throughout the ordeal but took an early train back on Sunday morning as his ski trip came to an early end.

On Saturday evening we enjoyed a delicious nabe organized by Alan. Some of the group went to an onsen and others went to the nearby pub.
Sunday was a bit cloudy and hard to see on the ski slopes but a good day overall. The wind was strong at times but there were good snow conditions.
The bus ride back to Nagoya was much longer than expected due to the traffic. We arrived back in Nagoya about 11:15 p.m. and didn't have long for goodbyes as many had to run and catch their trains home.
